Comfort Console Psychotherapy is excited to expand our dedicated team of mental health professionals with the addition of a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Work Environment
This position is entirely remote, providing the flexibility for you to create a conducive work environment tailored to your preferences while maintaining the highest standards of professional support. You will interact with clients through various telehealth platforms and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach. Our outpatient office serves as the hub for administrative functions, while clinicians like you focus on delivering care directly to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize a wide range of crisis intervention skills to respond to incoming and outgoing calls, addressing urgent client needs effectively.
- Leverage specialized software to streamline client interactions, manage records, and maintain precise documentation of therapeutic sessions.
- Assess and determine the appropriate level of care for each client, ensuring that their specific mental health needs are met.
- Engage clients through proactive outreach, including follow-up calls to check on their well-being and progress.
- Collaborate with members of the Readjustment Counseling Service Crisis Hotline Program, ensuring veterans and their families receive tailored support services.
- Develop supportive relationships with clients and their families, guiding them through complex mental health issues, including referrals to additional resources.
- Provide exceptional customer service to a diverse array of recipients, including military families and individuals located globally, particularly those serving overseas.
- Skilled in crisis assessment, you will identify situations of potential harm among clients and intervene as necessary.
- Deliver accurate information adhering to established policies and work proactively to resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will encompass a wide demographic, specifically targeting adolescents and adults facing various mental health challenges. This includes, but is not limited to, relationship issues, family dynamics, and psychological disorders. You will also engage with veterans and their families, offering specialized support tailored to their unique experiences. By utilizing a collaborative and compassionate approach, you will play an essential role in fostering positive patient outcomes and promoting mental wellness.
Qualifications
- An active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in California, approved by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
- A Master’s degree in clinical counseling or a related discipline is required to ensure a strong foundational knowledge in therapeutic practices.
- Demonstrated experience in handling eating disorders and familiarity with various levels of care is advantageous.
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices both in clinical settings and beyond.
- While telehealth experience is preferred, we offer comprehensive training to familiarize you with our technology and therapeutic approach.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues and clients alike.
- The ability to maintain composure during crisis situations and to approach diverse client issues with flexibility and empathy.
- Understanding of ethical guidelines, confidentiality, and adherence to HIPAA regulations is imperative.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working within collaborative environments, facilitating multi-disciplinary treatment discussions to enhance client care.
- A background in crisis intervention and assessment of mental health disorders, particularly as they relate to military families.
- Familiarity with software systems relevant to telehealth practice.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive annual salary range of $90,000.00 - $100,000.00, complemented by performance-based incentives.
