Chief Financial Officer - Confidential Private Equity-Backed Opportunity A private equity-backed company is confidentially evaluating experienced CFO candidates to lead its finance function and serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, ownership and Board. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a commercially minded CFO who can combine strong financial management with operational leadership and a focus on business performance. Responsibilities: Lead the company's overall financial strategy, planning and execution. Partner with the CEO, Board and ownership on strategic planning, growth initiatives and value creation. Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, cash flow and financial controls. Drive EBITDA improvement, margin expansion and working-capital optimization. Develop and implement meaningful financial and operational KPIs. Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, reporting and overall financial infrastructure. Support acquisitions, due diligence and post-acquisition integration as applicable. Provide actionable financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions. Build, develop and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team. Present financial results, forecasts and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board. Serve as a hands-on business partner who can identify opportunities and translate financial data into operational results. Ideal Candidate: Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience, preferably within a lower-middle-market or private equity-backed organization. Demonstrated success improving EBITDA, cash flow, profitability and operational performance. Experience partnering with CEOs, Boards, ownership groups and/or private equity sponsors. Strong background in FP&A, forecasting, financial reporting and cash management. Experience with acquisitions, integrations, ERP implementations or finance transformation is highly valued. A hands-on, commercially oriented leader who is comfortable both setting strategy and rolling up their sleeves to execute.
