POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for follow-up on high-dollar accounts to ensure member is compliant. Investigates accounts to identify any unusual issues affecting payment delays and follow-up with appropriate parties. Contacts patients and other third party payor organizations to secure payment or arrange alternative payment/settlement plans. Identifies problem delinquencies and recommends their disposition.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent is required. At least one year of experience dealing with insurance companies, 3 years preferred. Must have knowledge in calling insurance, inquiring about outstanding claims, notations of accounts, resolving payor issues and reconciling payments per contracts. Must have knowledge in payor contracts and be able to demonstrate during interview. Experience in the appeal process with third party payors, resulting in reimbursement. On-line Medicare/Medicaid insurance verification is preferred. Designated cash handlers must successfully complete the Patient Services Cashier course and be designated as a Patient Services Cashier during the initial probationary period. #J-18808-Ljbffr United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia
