Registered Nurse LDRP Full Time Nights at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit provides comprehensive patient care during night shifts at AdventHealth South Overland Park. They coordinate multidisciplinary teams, apply the nursing process to assess and implement care plans, and prioritize patient safety and well‑being. The role requires licensing, basic and advanced cardiac life support certifications, and a commitment to professional growth and evidence‑based nursing practices. They provide direct patient care, collaborate with patients, families, peers, physicians, and other team members, and utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to maintain and improve patient outcomes. They demonstrate leadership, manage patient safety, and advocate on behalf of patients, adhering to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. Key Competencies Provide exemplary patient care Utilize the nursing process to deliver optimal care Execute accurate assessment skills based on evidence Ensure patient safety via adherence to policies and patient safety resources Implement individualized care plans addressing physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs Prioritize nursing interventions with unit activities and resources Required Qualifications Associate's Degree in Nursing No previous experience required Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification Kansas Registered Nurse License Preferred Qualifications Additional certifications/registrations relevant to clinical area of practice BCLS and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) courses provided by the American Heart Association Schedule & Location Full‑time night shifts.
