PIZZA MAKER / PIZZA LINE COOK

Location: San Clemente, CA
Position: Part-Time / Full-Time
Pay: $–$ per hour, depending on experience

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Pizza Maker to join our team.

The ideal candidate takes pride in making great pizza, works well under pressure, and understands that a clean kitchen is just as important as a great pie. This position involves the entire pizza-making process, including stretching dough, building pizzas, operating the oven, and keeping the shop clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Hand-stretch and shape pizza dough consistently
• Sauce and top pizzas according to recipes and portion standards
• Operate the pizza oven and monitor cooking times and temperatures
• Load and unload pizzas safely and efficiently
• Ensure every pizza meets quality standards
• Prepare and restock sauces, cheese, meats, vegetables, and other toppings
• Keep the pizza station stocked and organized throughout the shift
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace before, during, and after service
• Clean and maintain the oven, prep areas, utensils, equipment, floors, and other areas of the shop
• Follow all food-safety and sanitation procedures
• Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality and consistency
• Assist with opening, closing, preparation, and other kitchen duties as needed
• Communicate with the team to keep orders moving smoothly

Qualifications

Pizza experience is preferred, but the right person can be trained.

Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Hand-stretching pizza dough
• Operating a pizza oven
• Working in a pizza or restaurant kitchen
• High-volume food preparation
• Dough preparation and handling
• Food safety and sanitation
• Working on a pizza line during busy service
