Assistant Drama Director KD- Fall Play Supplemental Contract

Salary range Group 4, Level IV: $1820 - $2047 per school year

Application Procedure: All applicants must complete the online application and upload resume and cover letter. PA child abuse history clearance, PA criminal record check and the Federal criminal history record should be uploaded if completed. Please list which position you are interested in your cover letter. All applicants will be subject to the requirements set forth under Act 168 of 2014. This will remain open until filled.

Expectations and Requirements

At the beginning of each school year you must show that you have completed a recruitment of new members for your music/drama function.

This can be done with posters, emails to students, announcements, ad in school newspaper, hold a new member interest meeting, etc. Depending on group and level of contract, expectations are different. See Develop a schedule for meetings, chart below. This schedule must be submitted to building principal along with practices, competitions, etc by October 1* of each year. If needed, complete the appropriate Building usage form for meetings, musicals, plays. Submit to the building principal the roster of the students involved along with meeting dates by October 1* of each year. Responsible for supervision of all members of the club/extracurricular program during after school meetings and events and the school code of conduct is followed at all times.

Student Activity If club/extracurricular program has a student activity account, following 618- 5 Accounts/Fundraisers/Budget AR-0 and 246-AR-3. Provide to building principal by October 1 (which is prior to the next year's budgeting schedule), items needed for club/extracurricular program Materials Needed/Equipment including transportation requests. Items must be budgeted for in the needed/Transportation needed budget process. Submit information to appropriate staff to update the club/extracurricular program website page so it contains all information about the club/extracurricular program, its purpose, meeting times, fundraisers, competitions/performances, etc.. KD/SEMS have club/extracurricular program pages on their website page under For Students. Update by October 1 of each school year. At the end of the school year, prepare and submit a report to the building principal outlining the meeting dates, attendance for meetings, projects, fundraisers, performances, etc that were done during the year. This is required in order for the pay order request to be approved.

After school expectations Minimum expectations for after school practices, performances, etc Practices should be held 2-3 days per week during the band season with band performances at each football game (weather permitting) and attending at least 4 band exhibitions/community events per year in addition Level I, II and III Marching Band to a 2 week long band camp. Practices should be held 4-5 days per week for secondary and 1-2 days per week for elementary beginning 10 weeks prior to the musical/drama Level I, II, III and IV Musical/Drama with multiple performances open to the public. Co-curricular - practices held during school day; 2-3 performances per year; County Honors Concert, PMEA District, Regional and State Festivals Level IV, concerts and festivals if students qualify Level V, SEIS, SEMS, KD - choral, Practices after school at least 1x/week beginning in October through the orchestra, band, ensembles, Spring Concert; minimum 2 week long band camp for Marching Band quartets, etc Camp Asst (2) Elementary Winter/Holiday and spring concerts plus 2 after school Level VI practices for each concert;
