Assistant General Manager - Bridgewater, NJ

A well-established, upscale restaurant in Bridgewater, NJ is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support daily operations and help lead a high-performing front-of-house team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a polished, guest-focused environment and is ready to take the next step in their management career.

Responsibilities:

Support the General Manager with all day-to-day restaurant operations
Lead and develop front-of-house staff while maintaining high service standards
Assist with scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management
Ensure exceptional guest experiences and effectively resolve guest concerns
Monitor sales, labor, and operating costs to support financial goals
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
Help oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure operational consistency
Work closely with the culinary and management teams to maintain smooth service
Assist with inventory, ordering, and controlling food and beverage costs
Help build a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture

Qualifications:

2+ years of restaurant management experience
Strong knowledge of front-of-house restaurant operations
Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Hospitality-focused with a strong attention to detail
Experience with upscale or polished-casual dining is preferred
