Assistant Store Manager

Overview Leads the daily operations of the sales floor at a Retail Store location for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities to help fund the Goodwill mission of ending unemployment. Starting Pay: $47,000.00 annual. Eligible for a monthly performance bonus of up to $1,000 based on performance goals. Location: 3273 Maricopa Ave, Lake Havasu, Arizona 86406. Responsibilities Develop and execute retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production. Monitor product levels daily to achieve bottom line sales budget against targets. Ensure payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget. Ensure Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers, de‑escalating situations and finding solutions. Maintain store cleanliness and brand standards. Partner with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill mission and serve as a Goodwill ambassador. Lead day‑to‑day operations of the sales floor and ensure Associates and Customer Service Manager are well‑trained. Act as key holder, closing shift manager, and backup to Store Manager. Process complex sales transactions, including returns. Travel to other GCNA locations to assist stores and attend training; transfer as needed. Partner with support areas (Asset Protection, Human Resources, Safety, Finance, etc.) to further business goals. Build a high‑performing team; manage performance (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development. Play critical role in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. One year of work experience in Retail Management. One year of customer service experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable.
