JOB SUMMARY : Assess and provide intervention to ensure student success and promote an exemplary educational program which fosters achievement for all students. Develops and promotes good relations among community and school clientele. Direct speech language services provided within inclusive settings for students with Part B under IDEA, with consultation to regular and/or special education staff, and to parents.

Plan and develop intervention programs and/or services to students. Provide intervention strategies to support the teaching process and to assist speech and language learning. Works effectively with others to integrate speech-language goals within the curriculum. Provides culturally responsive interventions that complement the students cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Monitors student progress and adjust instruction as appropriate. Evaluates program effectiveness/success. Delivers services consistent with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and Colorado Department of Education (CDE) ethical principles and professional standards of practice. Ability to work with children with oral motor, feeding and eating issues. Assist in the development and implementation of schedules and work systems. Support preschool classroom, including ability to manage classroom. environment and modify/adapt classroom activities to ensure successful communication for identified students. Encourage pragmatic language development and peer interactions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• Master's degree
• Student teaching/practicum/internship experience that meets or exceeds Colorado's requirements
• Holds a valid Colorado School Speech-Language Pathologist Endorsement/License.
