WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Lead and advance EHS strategy by providing clear, consistent direction that supports both people and business outcomes.
Be a visible safety leader with a strong shop floor presence—recognized as the go to expert for safety, health, and environmental mentorship.
Collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and leadership team to align EHS initiatives with site priorities and long term objectives.
Proactively identify workplace hazards and collaborate with plant teams to eliminate or mitigate risk.
Champion a ZERO HARM culture, driving safe behaviors and practices across all levels of the organization.
Monitor and interpret EHS regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA), assess potential impacts, and translate requirements into practical, effective solutions.
Own environmental programs related to waste, water, and energy, supporting both regulatory compliance and sustainability initiatives.
Engage employees at all levels to identify, develop, and implement continuous EHS improvements.
Manage EHS documentation, permits, and vendor relationships, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate workers’ compensation cases, partnering with HR and Legal to drive appropriate outcomes.
Lead incident reporting and investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action follow up.
Facilitate EHS training programs, ensuring all regulatory and company requirements are met and well understood.
YOU HAVE:
Background in Engineering, Science, Safety, or Environmental disciplines preferred
Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification preferred
Ideally 5+ years of progressive experience leading safety and/or environmental management systems
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Strong working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively in a plant setting
