Respiratory Therapist - Night ShiftThe Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, administering intensive respiratory care and facilitating patient transport within the facility as medically prescribed and within the scope of professional licensure. The role requires minimal supervision and includes evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, and educating patients during discharge.ResponsibilitiesAdministers various treatments and tests, including operating both invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment, oxygen and aerosol devices, and nebulizers.Performs chest physiotherapy and suctioning by various methods, including oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal techniques.Conducts oximetry and capnography monitoring per policy.Reviews and evaluates patients' chest x-rays for further evaluation.Performs 12-Lead EKGs and basic arrhythmia recognition.Assists with respiratory care procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement.Provides tracheostomy care, including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes.Conducts arterial punctures and monitors ventilation efficiency.Documents all pertinent information in patient's respiratory care records and communicates effectively during hand-off rounds.Maintains respiratory therapy charging accuracy and performs other assigned duties.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureCurrent NJ State Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.Experience in respiratory care within a healthcare setting is preferred.Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).ScheduleThis is a night shift position with a 3x12 hour schedule.Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
