How You’ll Drive Success In this role, you’ll focus on high-impact outcomes rather than just maintaining the status quo: Architect the Blueprint: Define and deploy reusable infrastructure patterns and Terraform modules that allow engineering teams to ship reliably at lightning speed. Empower the Organization: Act as the principal authority on platform architecture, serving as the go-to decision-maker for cloud patterns and engineering standards. Ship Production Code: Build and maintain internal platform tooling using Python, Go, or PowerShell —you’re a builder who treats infrastructure as a first-class software product. Master the Unit Economics: Lead FinOps practices to optimize cloud spend, ensuring high performance is balanced with surgical cost efficiency. Secure the Perimeter: Own the security posture and compliance (SOC 2/PCI) of the cloud platform through advanced IAM design and threat modeling. Elevate the Team: Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, raising the technical "ceiling" for the entire department and shaping the future of the infrastructure team. What You Bring We are looking for a heavy-hitter who thrives in high-autonomy environments: 8+ Years of Infrastructure Mastery: You’ve designed and operated large-scale distributed systems, with at least 4 years as a technical lead. Azure & Terraform Expertise: You are a pro at advanced Terraform module development and managing multi-environment patterns at scale. Automation-First Mindset: Proficient in building production-quality automation using Python, Go, or PowerShell . Container Fluency: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production settings. Strategic Influence: The ability to translate complex technical risks into clear investment rationale for VP and Director-level stakeholders. Global Mindset: Comfortable with occasional international travel to collaborate with our client's talented global teams.
