Our client is currently seeking a Medical Assistant Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Room and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Record accurate and timely patient information in medical records.
- Perform clinical duties within MA scope, including phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, medication administration (non-IV), wound care, and staple removal.
- Assist physicians with patient care and coordinate follow-up care as directed.
- Operate, clean, sterilize, and perform quality checks on medical equipment.
- Maintain exam rooms by stocking supplies, cleaning, and organizing work areas.
- Follow infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
- Conduct patient intake and gather information via phone and in person.
- Support Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO) and clinic protocols.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant (MA) Certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 180 days of employment.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification for healthcare providers (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
