Functional Analyst

Job Description Lead a data analytics team supporting a State Medicaid client by extracting, analyzing, and validating Medicaid enrollment, encounter, and claims data from Enterprise Data Warehouses. Serve as the primary client-facing data lead, translating business requirements into actionable data solutions and communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities * Lead delivery of Medicaid data analytics and reporting workstreams. * Guide team members in writing and optimizing SQL queries. * Partner directly with clients to understand requirements and resolve data issues. * Validate data quality, accuracy, completeness, and business logic. * Present analyses, findings, and recommendations to client stakeholders. * Coordinate timelines, deliverables, risks, and team priorities. * Mentor analysts and promote consistent data and documentation standards. Required Qualifications * 10+ years of professional experience working with Health data in data management, analytics, or related field * Experience leading data analytics teams or workstreams. * Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with enterprise data warehouses. * Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights. * Strong communication, problem-solving, and project leadership skills.
