Treatment Coordinator

Full-Time (36+ Hours Per Week)

Clarkston Family Dental is seeking an experienced, organized, and patient-focused Treatment Coordinator to join our busy, family-oriented dental practice. We are looking for a dependable team member who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping patients understand their treatment, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of dental front office experience required.
• Dentrix experience is required.
• Strong understanding of dental procedures, coding, and terminology.
• Proficient in presenting and coordinating comprehensive treatment plans.
• Experienced with insurance verification, eligibility, and benefit breakdowns.
• Knowledgeable in dental insurance plans, coverages, limitations, frequencies, and exclusions.
• Experienced using dental insurance portals and online claim resources.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Reliable, professional, and punctual.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced family dental practice.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Present treatment plans and financial arrangements to patients with confidence and compassion.
• Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage prior to appointments.
• Obtain pre-authorizations when necessary.
• Accurately estimate patient financial responsibility.
• Schedule treatment based on doctor recommendations and patient needs.
• Coordinate with patients to maximize insurance benefits and treatment acceptance.
• Answer patient questions regarding treatment, insurance, and financial options.
• Maintain accurate patient records within Dentrix.
• Work closely with doctors, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Assist with front office responsibilities, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking patients in and out as needed.
• Follow up on unscheduled treatment and outstanding treatment plans.
