Call on weekend (Sat-Sun - 48hrs) once every 4 weeks. Holiday call - it's rotational - generally 2 holidays a year. What You Can Expect: The Orderly is responsible for assisting personnel in daily operations of Surgical Services. Cleans the operating room suites between surgical cases Performs start-of-day surgical suite and department preparations as needed Performs end-of-day terminal cleaning of operating rooms as needed Prepares operating rooms with needed equipment Cleans and maintains all surgical equipment and devices Maintains department environment cleanliness and organization Assists with the setting up and disassembling of the operating room beds May transports equipment, specimen, supplies, and medications as needed May assist with patient movement as directed by clinical staff Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
