Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantLHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a 3-month contract opportunity in Carrollton, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger accounting experience, excellent reconciliation skills, and the ability to assist with month-end close activities.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform bank and general ledger account reconciliations.Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and prepaid expenses.Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.Assist with month-end closing activities.Prepare and maintain Excel reports to support accounting operations.Research and resolve account discrepancies.Support additional accounting projects and duties as assigned.QualificationsPrevious Staff Accountant or general ledger accounting experience.Strong knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and prepaids.Experience maintaining depreciation schedules and fixed assets.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs preferred.
