Role Description The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek in Orlando, FL. This role supports the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation. Day-to-day tasks include supervising housekeeping and laundry team members, assigning and reviewing workloads, inspecting rooms and common areas, and responding promptly to guest requests and service issues. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager participates in staff scheduling, onboarding and training of new team members, and may assist with hiring decisions in collaboration with leadership. The role also involves monitoring inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment, enforcing brand standards and procedures, and communicating effectively with other departments to support smooth resort operations and an excellent guest experience. Qualifications Supervisory skills to lead, motivate, and support housekeeping and laundry team members, including oversight of daily workloads and performance. Hands-on experience with housekeeping and laundry operations, including room cleaning standards, linen handling, and equipment use. Strong customer service skills with a focus on resolving guest concerns promptly and maintaining a welcoming, service-oriented environment. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments, and providing clear instructions and feedback. Experience participating in hiring, onboarding, and training staff in housekeeping or related hospitality roles. Knowledge of safety, hygiene, and infection-control practices in hospitality environments. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. Previous experience in hotel or resort housekeeping leadership is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or management education is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
