Your job duties: Assist OBGYN department clinically Support the team with front office responsibilities (answering phones, scheduling, and call backs when needed) Support Providers by checking patient vitals, rooming, stocking patient rooms, and assisting with procedures such as colposcopies, LEEPs, biopsies, and also educating patients The ideal candidate will be someone with previous experience working as a Medical Assistant, and has experience delivering exceptional patient care in an OBGYN department Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician's practice Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographicsRequired Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certifications: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: One year of experience as an MA in an outpatient setting OBGYN clinic experience Experience with scheduling appointmentsClinical SupportCentral San Diego County-SAN DIEGO-SCRIPPS CLIN OB/GYN-SAN DIEGOSCRIPPS CLIN OB/GYN-SAN DIEGO 2918 5TH AVENUE SAN DIEGO 92103Scripps ClinicBenefit Status : FT - FULL-TIME WITH BENEFITSMinimum Rate (USD): 25.95 -Maximum Rate (USD): 32.56 In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs.
