Job Summary

Hampton Roads Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a motivated and experienced Podiatrist to join our growing team. With established locations in Williamsburg and Hampton, we are excited to continue expanding our presence in Gloucester and are looking for a physician who is eager to make a lasting impact on the community while helping grow and shape our newest market.

• Strong clinical and surgical skills
• Experience managing a high-volume patient schedule
• Comfort participating in local hospital call coverage
• Passion for wound care, limb preservation, and comprehensive podiatric care
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow and develop a patient base
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes and community-focused care
• Ethical, self-motivated, and efficient work ethic

Responsibilities 

• Examine patient’s legs and feet to diagnose diseases
• Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
• Perform wound care 
• Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
• Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
• Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
• Provide education/consultation to patients
• Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients

Basic Requirements:

• Virginia State License/DEA #
• ABPS BC/BE
• strong work ethic and self-motivating
• DPM with 3 year surgical residency training; wound care interest a plus
• inpatient and outpatient work
• high earning potential
• excellent communication skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening
• clean background check
