Lead Software Engineer
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Lead Software Engineer to deliver scalable software solutions and provide technical leadership within their R&D organization. This advanced individual contributor role focuses on designing complex systems, leading technical initiatives, and mentoring peers in a full-stack development environment supporting laboratory information management systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evolve major features and services within LIMS ecosystem
- Lead complex technical projects and break down large deliverables across multiple platforms
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, architectural guidance, and mentorship
- Collaborate with lab operations, automation engineers, and stakeholders on workflow solutions
- Participate in on-call rotation to ensure system reliability during genetic testing operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Deep understanding of system architecture and scalable solution design
- Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in full-stack development across multiple technology stacks
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence without formal management
- Strong cross-functional communication and business acumen
