• Experience in MS/Tele preferred.

Description:

Can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week. Start date is 3-4 weeks out per compliance tier. Patient ratios are 1:6. Weekend requirement is every other weekend. Will float within service line to meet facility needs. No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius. No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract. Special requirements include the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Acute medicine population includes patients with diabetes, renal issues, COPD, abdominal rule outs, and cancer patients not receiving current chemotherapy. This unit does not care for surgical patients. Type of facility is a short-term acute care hospital. Total staffed beds are 1,266. Charting system used is EPIC. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily census is around 21. Number of rooms is 15 with a total of 24 beds. Bedside procedures may include thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertion, and simple suture/debridement. All travelers must comply with RTO policy. No RTO allowed the first week of an assignment. Compliance deadline is 3 PM CST on the Monday of the week before the initial start date. Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing for N95 masks. Modules are required for all RNs and must be completed prior to the start date to avoid delays.
