Duties

Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provides leadership in the application of the nursing process to client care, organizational processes and/or systems, improving outcomes at the program or service level.
• Provides leadership in identifying and addressing ethical issues that could impact the patient and staff, to include initiating and participating in ethical consultations.
• Manages program resources (financial, human, material or informational) to facilitate safe, effective and efficient care.
• Provides care, as needed, respecting patient's personal values, cultural and belief system.
• Maintains confidentiality of all patient information, including electronic, print, and conversations.
• Supports the facility's EEO/affirmative action programs by executing assigned duties and responsibilities in a professional manner.
• Guides others in the recognition of and participates in the resolution of ethical issues.
