Project Overview

GDOT is undertaking a major modernization initiative to migrate its SharePoint Server 2019 environment to SharePoint Online within Microsoft 365 GCC. The existing environment includes approximately 7 TB of content across 3 SharePoint farms, site collections, 346 sites, and workflows.

The project includes re-platforming InfoPath forms, SharePoint Designer 2010/2013 workflows, Nintex workflows, farm solutions (.WSP), Content Editor Web Part (CEWP) pages, and Quest Quick Apps. Existing Business Connectivity Services (BCS) integrations will be replaced with secure integrations to GDOT&# ;s Enterprise Data Warehouse (SQL Server), Oracle, Bentley ProjectWise, and ArcGIS. Anonymous public-facing websites will also be moved to a separate supported public platform.

The engagement is approximately weeks and will conclude with delivery of a documented, maintainable, and supportable environment.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT project management experience.

• Experience managing at least 3 enterprise SharePoint or Microsoft 365 migration projects.

• Experience managing fixed-price, deliverable-based contracts for State Government agencies.

• PMP certification is required.

• Strong knowledge of the PMBOK project life cycle.

• Experience managing complex enterprise technology modernization and migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact with the GDOT IT Project Manager.

• Deliver a comprehensive Project Management Plan, including WBS, within 15 business days of award.

• Develop and maintain the project master schedule.

• Maintain the project risk and issue register.

• Maintain a 15% project contingency.

• Produce weekly project status reports.

• Provide regular schedule updates and meeting minutes.

• Identify and escalate project risks and blockers to GDOT within one week.

• Coordinate project activities across GDOT stakeholders, vendors, technical teams, and business teams.

• Run stage-gate reviews.

• Manage deliverable review and acceptance across all seven project phases.

• Coordinate migration and production cutover windows with GDOT change-control and deployment teams.

• Ensure project milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and acceptance requirements remain on schedule.

Preferred Experience

State Government experience is strongly preferred. Experience supporting SharePoint programs for the State of Michigan, South Carolina, or Virginia is considered a plus.

• Must be available for onsite sessions in Atlanta when required.
