Health Technician

Responsible for coordinated school health tasks including coordinating school wide screenings with community partners Health and wellness promotion, data collection and disease surveillance Coverage of the health needs of students Data entry and health education as requested Facilitate virtual and/or in person visits with a HK Nurse Practitioner (APRN) May cover school health rooms following Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) protocol as requested and approved by HK supervisor and school administration Requirements Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent Certification in a health related field or equivalent job related work experience Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or current BLS Certification Experience working in a clinical setting. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Excellent organizational skills Customer service skills Familiarity with Patient Confidentiality laws (HIPAA) Vital sign measurement Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in health promotion, data collection, and disease surveillance while ensuring compliance with patient confidentiality laws. Proficient in coordinating health screenings and providing health education in a clinical setting.
