Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Medical/Surgical units, including Vent, Ortho, and General Med/Surg populations
• Manage a patient assignment of up to 1:9 ratio with support from PCA Techs on the unit
• Care for patients with diagnoses including ventilator dependency, orthopedic conditions, and general medical/surgical needs
• Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements as part of standard rotation
• Float within Med/Surg units as needed to support staffing demands
• Follow unit dress code requirements (Navy Blue scrubs)

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License
• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• COVID Vaccination required
• EPIC EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with ventilator-dependent patients
• Background in orthopedic or general medical/surgical nursing
