Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (L&D) - Postpartum and Nursery

Location: Elko, Nevada

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 07:00 - 19:00 (variable shifts available)

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Women's Services team in the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit. The ideal candidate should demonstrate expertise in maternal and newborn care as well as the ability to provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for women in labor, including monitoring of fetal heart rates and administering medications.
• Conduct postpartum assessments and provide support to new mothers and newborns in the nursery.
• Perform OB triage and manage complications such as pre-eclampsia and eclampsia.
• Engage in patient education regarding childbirth practices and postpartum recovery.
• Maintain adherence to defined AWHONN patient ratios and safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2+ years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring.
• Experience in managing Cesarean sections and spontaneous vaginal deliveries (SVD) required.
