Clinical Informatics Specialist

The Clinical Informatics Specialist role supports Swedish Health Services' goals by writing queries and creating reports that allow us to improve the quality and value of care that we deliver to our patients. This role provides analytic support to measure clinical process and outcome measures related to disease, clinical processes, care pathways and population health. Your voice matters here, because we know that to inspire and retain the best people, we must empower them.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, information technology, health informatics, public health, or related subjectWithin 1 year of hire: Epic Certification and proficiency in reporting tools (must be maintained while employed) 3 years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, decision support tools or management of complex databases and analyticsProven experience creating, managing, and validating large data setsPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree computer science, mathematics, statistics, information technology, health informatics, public health, or related subject 3 years of recent SQL programming: skills should include some combination of: Snowflake, SQL Server 2012, Data Warehouse design, Oracle SQLExperience with reporting data out of Epic Clarity and/or Chronicles databasesExperience with Tableau and Power BI data visualization softwareExperience and familiarity with statistical analysis methodologies, modeling, and hypothesis testingWhy Join Providence Swedish? Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
