Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will support technology and process transformation initiatives within commercial lending and corporate banking environments. This role requires strong experience across the lending lifecycle, risk and regulatory frameworks, and financial services operations. The position involves partnering with business and technology teams to translate requirements into functional specifications, produce high-quality documentation, drive workflow improvements, and support system design, testing, and implementation. The Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient lending solutions. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders across Lending, Risk, Finance, Operations, Compliance, and IT to gather and analyze business requirements. Support or lead initiatives involving commercial lending systems such as loan origination systems, servicing platforms, collateral management systems, or credit risk tools. Conduct analysis across the end-to-end commercial lending lifecycle including deal structuring, underwriting, approval workflows, reporting, regulatory compliance, loan booking, and funding. Apply knowledge of regulations and risk frameworks affecting lending institutions, including capital adequacy, collateral requirements, credit risk governance, and regulatory reporting. Partner with technology teams on system design, configuration, data integrations, workflow automation, and performance or control requirements. Produce detailed business artifacts including BRDs, functional specifications, process maps, gap analyses, target operating models (TOM), test plans, and implementation roadmaps. Evaluate current-state workflows and define future-state solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, and control. Communicate insights, recommendations, and project updates clearly to senior leadership and governance committees. Work onsite three days per week in Atlanta, GA. Required Qualifications 8-10 years of experience in financial services with exposure to commercial lending, corporate banking, credit risk, or loan operations. Experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager delivering technology and operational transformation in regulated banking environments. Hands-on experience with loan origination systems, servicing platforms, collateral management systems, or credit risk tools. Strong understanding of commercial lending processes and lifecycle stages. Strong knowledge of regulatory and risk frameworks applicable to lending institutions. Experience working with technology teams on system design, data integrations, APIs, workflow automation, and performance or control requirements. Proven ability to develop high-quality business documentation and project deliverables. Strong stakeholder management abilities across diverse functional teams. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work onsite in Atlanta, GA three days per week. Preferred Qualifications Experience presenting to senior leadership or governance bodies.
