Exciting contract opportunity for a dedicated Special Education Teacher in beautiful Siskiyou County, CA. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week and involves working with a caseload of 28 or fewer students with mild to moderate needs. You’ll support an inclusive learning environment, providing specialized instruction and individualized support on-site, with potential consideration for a virtual option (VOCO).

Key Qualifications:

• Required credentialing and certification to teach Special Education in California.
• Experience with mild to moderate caseloads in school settings.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to both on-site and possible virtual modalities.
• Passion for fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for students with diverse needs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in your caseload.
• Provide direct instruction, intervention, and classroom support based on each student's unique requirements.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure cohesive support.
• Track and report on student progress and adapt strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with local and state requirements.
• Engage in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
