Exciting Opportunity in the CICU at Mission Hospital

Job Description:
- Join a dynamic and fast-paced environment in the Critical Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
- Work with a team that prides itself on delivering exceptional patient care.

Unit Details:
- Location: Asheville, NC
- Address: 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
- Unit Size: 16 beds
- Patient Ratios: 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)

Staffing:
- RNs only; no HUC or PCT available.

Equipment Utilized:
- Ventilators
- Telemetry Monitoring
- Baxter IV Pump
- IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
- CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
- Impella
- Hypothermia Equipment

Documentation System:
- Cerner

Scheduling Requirements:
- 36 hours/week
- Alternating weekends
- 12-hour shifts

Floating Policy:
- Travelers may float to all areas.

Patient Experience Requirements:
- ICU experience is a must!

Skill Set Desired:
- Must be proficient in:
- Titration of Vesicant Medications
- Pressors, Sedation, and Paralytics
- Ventilator management
- Telemetry interpretation
- Hemodynamics
- PA Catheter setup and interpretation
- Transvenous pacing
- Cardioversion
- EGD and Bronchoscopy
- Chest tube insertions and maintenance

Certifications:
- No specific certifications required.
- CCRN appreciated; familiarity with IABP, Impella, and CRRT is a plus!

Dress Code:
- Required uniform: Navy or Navy and White scrubs only
- No pullovers or hoodies
- Green scrubs allowed only when soiled at work
