Join a team committed to exceptional service, continuous growth, and helping employees build rewarding careers in the plumbing industry.The Plumbing Technician is responsible for maintaining plumbing and piping systems and associated components, identifying repair/replacement opportunities, and providing excellent customer service. This role will lead the installing, maintaining, and repairing of plumbing systems and fixtures which will include toilet replacements, faucet replacements, water heater replacements, soldering, and common plumbing repairs. In addition, this role will inspect and test plumbing systems for safety, functionality, water quality, and code compliance in residential. The Plumbing Technician will address customer queries, troubleshoot and resolve problems, and prepare cost estimates.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform residential and commercial plumbing service calls, including diagnostics, repairs, and installations.Evaluate customer plumbing situation, develop multi-option proposals/estimates, and present to customers using the A-1/Groundworks Sales Methodology.Works with customers for a thorough understanding of estimatesUnderstands service criteria and is accountable for exceeding revenue goalsConduct camera inspections and respond to emergency plumbing situationsDiagnoses and repairs plumbing & piping systems and components in residential and commercial buildingsAbility to perform projects and serviceProficient in piping domestic, sewer, gas, and hydronic systems with experience in copper (soldering, pro press, and brazing), PVC, cast iron, gas piping (black iron, Gastite CSST), and PEXExperience in boiler, chiller, and water heater replacementMaintains tools, supplies and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items and equipment are in safe operating conditionKnowledge of plumbing codePrepares documentation for written support and conveys information appropriatelyResponds to emergency situations to resolve plumbing & piping issuesEnforces a safety-focused cultureGreat craftsmanship requiredOn Call and weekend shifts: We have a rotating schedule. Each shift is a 5-day work week with 1-2 on calls per month.It is an essential function of this job that the employee regularly and reliably reports to work on time each working day.All other duties assignedQualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience in Residential PlumbingHigh School Diploma or GEDValid Driver's license and insurable driving record requiredKnowledge of basic hand and plumbing toolsExperience with home and commercial software and technology (example: ServiceTitan)License and certifications preferred but not required: Master Plumber, Journeyman Plumber, Backflow Tester, Leak DetectionOperations of plumbing & piping systems and related equipmentComprehends technical information and blueprintsAttention to detail.Has the ability to work independently.Must be a team player, committed to working in a quality environment.Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.Working ConditionsThe position lifts heavy objects and/or up to 50 lbs., walks, sits and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor.The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively lifts and carries heavy loads.The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand and arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.The employee must have excellent stamina.Seeing with the ability to read reports, data, statistics and information on computer screens are required.CompensationThe anticipated hourly pay range for this role is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
