Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Travel assignment in Vail, Colorado

This perioperative nursing role focuses on delivering safe, compassionate care to patients and their families across the surgical continuum. The selected nurse will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the broader care team to optimize patient outcomes, manage patient flow, and educate patients about their care plans. Note: Colorado CAPS background check may be required; processing may take up to two weeks.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care for surgical patients across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases
- Administer medications, assist in procedures, and uphold patient safety and sterile technique
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively and post-anesthesia recovery, documenting care and responses
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR team to maintain efficient, safe patient flow
- Educate patients and families about perioperative care, expectations, and discharge instructions

Requirements
- Active RN license in Colorado or a valid compact state
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Colorado CAPS background check may be required; processing may take up to two weeks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced OR/perioperative setting and participate in a 3x12 shift schedule
- Willingness to travel and accept a temporary travel assignment
