R&D Electrical Engineer Location: Santa Clara, CA Work Mode: Hybrid – primarily in HPE office, minimum 4 days a week. Hours: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday–Friday. Electrical/Hardware Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical/electronic parts and subsystems. Conducts feasibility studies, validation, and empirical testing; assists in architecture development; evaluates reliability; may lead support personnel on detailed design and prototype fabrication. Supports new product introductions as well as sustaining products. Responsibilities Design portions of engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms based on established engineering principles and specifications. Implement established test plans for existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, RF, digital, and system power measurements. Develop relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware design and development. Participate as a member of the project team of other electrical hardware engineers and partners to develop reliable, cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions for low to moderately complex products. Knowledge and Skills Experience or understanding of electrical design tools and instrumentation equipment. Good analytical and problem‑solving skills. Understanding of POE, Wi‑Fi, design for electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms. Understanding of thermal and electromagnetic properties of materials and management of emissions. Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English. Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving hardware and network issues. Education and Experience Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Typically 2–4 years of experience.
