You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. About the role: Determine donor eligibility, including managing informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs, manage medical emergencies, develop and apply Center Physician standing orders, and arrange patient transport to emergency care facilities. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings, medical, or technical guidance on donor safety and eligibility. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation, referring to occupational health and EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations into pandemic threats within the local community. Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable test results. Provide center‑level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS) as directed by BioLife Medical Affairs. What you bring to Takeda: High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (LPN or LVN). Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification. Completion of state‑required basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
