SAP IBP Consultant

LRS Consulting Services is seeking an experienced SAP IBP Consultant / Business Solutions Architect to support ERP transformation and distribution center enablement initiatives. The position is fully onsite in Richardson, TX and contract based. Position Summary This role designs, configures, and optimizes SAP IBP Demand, Supply & Response, and Inventory Optimization solutions for high-volume, exception-driven parts planning scenarios. The consultant acts as a thought leader and change agent, bridging gaps between IBP capabilities and business requirements to deliver scalable, high‑performance planning solutions aligned to enterprise priorities. What You Will Do Own technical architecture and design for SAP IBP (Demand, Supply & Response, Inventory Optimization) and integration tools (CPI-DS, SDI, RTI) Configure and enhance IBP modules to support high-volume transaction processing and exception-driven planning workflows Lead deep‑dive sessions on business requirements to evaluate what IBP can deliver via standard configuration and where gaps exist Provide clear recommendations including configuration solutions, enhancements, workarounds, and alternate approaches where IBP limitations exist Design solutions to support mass exception handling (shortages, excess, supply constraints) and fast processing of large volumes of POs and planning data Collaborate with Supply Chain, Parts Operations, and IT teams to translate business pain points into actionable IBP solutions Define and manage a prioritized roadmap aligned to distribution center enablement, ERP rollout phases, and post‑go‑live enhancements Define and optimize planning areas, key figures, and master data models Support data readiness including data cleansing, transformation, and harmonization Support integration between SAP IBP, SAP ECC, and external systems (data lake, reporting tools) to ensure seamless planning flow across Demand, Supply, and Execution Lead or support full lifecycle delivery: Design, Build, Test, Deploy, and Hypercare Support UAT, validation, and performance testing Ensure adherence to SAP IBP best practices, IT standards, and governance Document processes, milestones, and solution architecture Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in SAP IBP implementation and architecture Hands‑on expertise in Demand Planning, Supply Planning/Application of Response & Supply, and Inventory Optimization Experience with SAP CPI-DS / SDI / RTI integrations Experience with SAP ERP (ECC/S4 integration) Strong experience in high-volume, exception-based planning environments Proven ability in business requirement analysis and solution design Experience in full software development lifecycle and architecture design Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Preferred Qualifications Experience in aftermarket, parts, or distribution-heavy business models Experience with multi-ERP consolidation or transformation programs Exposure to data lake / analytics platforms Experience in high-scale transaction environments (POs, order lines, exceptions) Ability to assess IBP limitations and propose alternate solutions Experience working with cross-functional and multi-geographic teams Subcontractor candidates will be considered for this position.
