Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Senior Supplier Quality Engineer role at Medtronic's Neurovascular Operating Unit in Irvine, California. Ensures externally sourced materials and components meet quality and regulatory standards while supporting product reliability and supply continuity across the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, audits, and documentation review for new suppliers
- Drive investigation and resolution of supplier nonconformances, complaints, and material quality issues
- Partner with R&D, manufacturing, and sourcing teams on new product introductions and supplier transfers
- Monitor supplier quality performance metrics and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Conduct supplier audits and support validation activities to ensure consistent product quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years experience
- Experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or related quality engineering function
- Demonstrated ability leading investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action for quality issues
- Experience working within regulated quality management systems and applying compliance requirements
- Proven collaboration with cross-functional teams and external suppliers on quality and process resolution
