Technician - Level 1

Job Summary Technician 1 – Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a fleet of equipment, including aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and specialty lines such as hydraulic pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment. Work in a safety‑focused environment while supporting the company’s goal of minimal downtime. Responsibilities Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on equipment. Repair or replace defective parts to ensure reliable operation. Document work performed and maintain accurate service records. Assist with equipment startup, shutdown, and safety inspections. Adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced setting. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training preferred. 1 to 3 years of technician experience with diesel or heavy construction equipment, or with specialty lines such as generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment. Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems with troubleshooting fundamentals. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform tasks that require bending, squatting, or crouching. Physical Demands Requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more; work indoors or outdoors as required.
