Overview: We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to provide senior technical leadership across full-stack application development and platform initiatives. This is a hands-on role focused on designing, building, and scaling cloud-native SaaS products . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, GCP/BigQuery, and Kubernetes , along with strong experience building and scaling full-stack applications. This role requires a senior technical leader who can influence architecture, solve complex engineering problems, and drive technical direction across teams.

Overview: We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to provide senior technical leadership across full-stack application development and platform initiatives. This is a hands-on role focused on designing, building, and scaling cloud-native SaaS products . The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, GCP/BigQuery, and Kubernetes , along with strong experience building and scaling full-stack applications. This role requires a senior technical leader who can influence architecture, solve complex engineering problems, and drive technical direction across teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable full-stack SaaS applications and backend services.
- Drive architectural decisions across application, API, data, and platform layers.
- Develop production applications and services using JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js .
- Build and support cloud-native applications on GCP , including solutions leveraging BigQuery .
- Design, develop, and optimize applications running in Kubernetes environments .
- Design and optimize data solutions using MongoDB and NoSQL databases .
- Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Partner with Product, Design, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
- Help establish engineering best practices around testing, deployment, observability, and operational reliability.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience operating at Staff Engineer or equivalent senior technical scope .
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript .
- Strong full-stack application development experience.
- Strong experience with Node.js .
- Production experience with MongoDB and NoSQL databases .
- Strong experience with GCP , including BigQuery .
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native application environments.
- Experience building and scaling SaaS products .
- Strong software architecture and distributed systems experience.
- Experience developing scalable APIs and production services.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
- Proven ability to influence technical direction across teams without direct authority.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Rust .
- Experience with React or Vue.js .
- Experience with event-driven or distributed architectures.
- Experience scaling high-availability SaaS platforms.
- Experience with DevOps, SRE, observability, and production reliability practices.
- Experience working with large-scale data platforms and analytics workloads.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across multiple teams.
