Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Home Health Aide to provide essential in-home support and personal care to clients in a safe, respectful, and professional manner. In this role, you will help individuals maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while working closely with care teams and family members to support daily living needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting support.
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation as appropriate.
• Support light housekeeping tasks such as tidying living areas, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Help clients with medication reminders in accordance with care plans and agency guidelines.
• Observe and report changes in client condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor.
• Offer companionship and emotional support while promoting client independence and well-being.
• Follow established care plans, safety procedures, and infection control practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and relevant observations.
• Communicate professionally with clients, family members, and other members of the care team.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Home Health Aide or equivalent credential, as required by state and local regulations.
• Prior experience providing in-home care, personal care, or support services preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow care instructions, maintain confidentiality, and work with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes as assigned.
• Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the role, including assisting with mobility and lifting as needed.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification may be required or preferred, depending on the assignment.
