The successful candidate will have opportunities to deliver measurable cost savings, improve supplier performance and business continuity, collaborate with leaders across the organization, and contribute to a mission focused on helping people see better and live better.Primary ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & ProcurementDevelop and execute sourcing strategies for materials, equipment, services, and indirect spend categories.Lead RFQ/RFP processes, supplier selection, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.Identify and lead high-impact cost savings, supplier optimization, and value creation initiatives that directly influence business performance.Identify and execute near-term opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, contract optimization, and supply continuity improvements.Supplier ManagementBuild strategic supplier relationships that improve service, innovation, quality, and long-term business value.Monitor, enforce, and continuously improve supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, business reviews, and corrective action plans.Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers to ensure competitiveness and continuity of supply.Contract ManagementNegotiate pricing, service levels, payment terms, and commercial agreements.Maintain contract compliance and renewal schedules.Partner with Legal, Finance, and business leaders on contract review, risk management, and implementation.Operational SupportEnsure uninterrupted supply of critical materials and services supporting operations.Partner with business leaders to understand current and future requirements.Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, finance, supply chain, quality, laboratory leadership, and shared services to support business objectives and organizational growth.Support capital equipment purchases and strategic business projects.Financial & Performance ManagementDeliver annual savings and procurement performance objectives.Track and report procurement KPIs, supplier performance, savings, and risk indicators.Support initiatives focused on profitability, efficiency, and operational excellence.Procurement Process & GovernanceDrive procurement process improvements, system enhancements, reporting, and best-practice adoption.Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.Global Procurement & Supply Chain CoordinationPartner with Global Procurement and Supply Chain teams to align local sourcing activities with enterprise strategies.Ensure globally negotiated supplier agreements, pricing, and procurement policies are implemented across North American operations.Gain exposure to international sourcing strategies, supplier networks, and enterprise-wide procurement initiatives.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Finance, Operations, or related field.5-10+ years of procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain experience.Experience negotiating supplier contracts and managing commercial relationships.Strong analytical, financial, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Experience in a global, multi-site, manufacturing, laboratory, or operational environment preferred.Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics preferred.CPSM, CPM, CSCP, APICS, or similar certification preferred.Leadership AttributesStrategic Mindset Sees future opportunities and industry trends and translates them into effective procurement and sourcing strategies.Business Insight Applies knowledge of the business, market, and competitive environment to drive organizational success.Financial Acumen Uses financial data and commercial knowledge to make sound purchasing, sourcing, and investment decisions.Drives Results Consistently achieves ambitious goals and delivers measurable outcomes through focused execution.Decision Quality Makes timely, well-informed decisions even when facing uncertainty or incomplete information.Manages Complexity Effectively analyzes complex information and identifies practical solutions to business challenges.Collaborates Builds strong partnerships across functions and works effectively with others to achieve shared objectives.Balances Stakeholders Considers and manages the needs of multiple stakeholders while achieving business and procurement objectives.About UsHOYA Group: Founded in 1941 in Tokyo, Japan, HOYA Corporation is a global technology and med-tech company and a leading supplier of innovative high-tech and medical products.
