Qualifications:

• Current and active RN license (state eligibility required)
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent Cath Lab nursing experience
• Proficiency in pre, intra, and post-procedure care for cardiovascular patients
• Strong knowledge of EKG interpretation, cardiac medications, and emergency interventions
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities:

• Assist with all facets of cardiac catheterization procedures, monitoring and supporting patients throughout
• Prepare patients and equipment for cardiac interventions, maintaining stringent aseptic technique
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, technicians, and ancillary staff
• Perform detailed documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes
• Respond promptly to acute patient needs or emergent situations
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and at-home care guidelines
