Shift: Multiple options (8, 10, or 12-hour shifts) including day and evening shifts

Hours/Week: Varies

Employment Type: Full Time

Licenses/Certs: LA pharmacy license, BLS (AHA), ACLS (preferred)

Experience: Hospital pharmacy experience preferred

Hourly Pay Rate: $87.10

What You'll Do

• Prepare and dispense medications per physician orders, adhering to policies and protocols
• Interpret drug orders and accurately transcribe into computerized records
• Compound and dispense sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition
• Issue controlled substances in compliance with law and hospital policies
• Provide clinical consultations on drug therapies, monitoring for contraindications and interactions
• Manage and oversee pharmacy support staff and technicians
• Participate in medication management activities such as antimicrobial stewardship and medication reviews

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana Pharmacist license
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Hospital pharmacy experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of medication safety, drug interactions, and patient counseling skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
