NURSING ASSISTANT

Duties
Obtains basic history, physical information, and chief complaint for patients visiting ambulatory clinics.
Provides health care to a range of patients presenting with complex or multiple systems dysfunctions and/or disorders.
Addresses health promotion topics with patient.
Reports significant changes and health concerns.
Performs and/or assists with procedures within the scope of practice to include EKGs, ear irrigations, swabs, sterile dressing application and packing, specimen collection, suture/staple application and removal, and applying orthopedic splints.
Ensures proper computer entry of patient data and equipment settings.
Ensures adequacy of supplies in patient care areas.
Documents patient requests for medication refill for providers.
