Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift travel assignment requiring RRT certification and 2+ years of experience across ICU, ER, and nursery settings.

Details

• Hospital-based respiratory therapy department with 159 beds
• RT floats to all areas of the hospital, treating patients from newborn to adult
• Adult critical care, with NICU and PICU experience preferred
• Experience treating pediatric patients requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation in the ER
• Experience attending high-risk C-sections and participating in the resuscitation team in a Level 1 nursery
• Uses Drager V500 and Hamilton T-1 ventilators, V60 BiPAP, Airvo high-flow oxygen units, neopuff, and Ram cannula
• EPIC EMR system used for documentation
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week including weekend hours
• Floats within a 25-mile radius between facilities as needed
• No call requirements
• 10-week assignment

Requirements

• RRT required
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Experience working in adult ICU, ER, nursery, and Med Surg settings required
• Experience with high-risk deliveries and resuscitation team participation required
• Experience with listed respiratory equipment required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Strong assessment skills required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required
• License required if applicable

• Any scrub color accepted
• Candidates located within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) are considered local, which may affect pay rate
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
• Cell phones, laptops, and AirPods are prohibited for use on the unit
