A rapidly growing PE-backed distribution company in the Cincinnati market is seeking a high-potential Controller to join its leadership team.

Reporting directly to the President, this individual will play a key role in helping scale the finance and accounting function as the company continues its impressive growth trajectory.

The company has achieved more than 300% growth over the past 8 years and continues to expand aggressively. Leadership is seeking someone who can grow with the business and ultimately step into a future Director of Finance position.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and accounting team processes
• Lead monthly and annual financial review and reporting activities
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Partner with leadership on operational and financial initiatives
• Help drive process improvements, scalability, and internal controls
• Manage relationships with external vendors, auditors, and third-party partners
• Support the continued buildout of the finance function as the company grows

Ideal Background

• CPA preferred
• 4–10 years of experience within public accounting and/or corporate accounting or FP&A
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Someone who is sharp, collaborative, and eager to grow into broader leadership responsibilities
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or inventory-based environments is a plus
