**Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Production Planner in an aerospace environment **
**Essential Functions: **
- Creates production schedules and capacity plans, publishes production schedules and requirements
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP database applications
- Handles all phases of the ERP system , ordering material, releasing material to the shop, and rescheduling as needed
- Ensures compliance with order policies based on contract specifications; batch size, lead times, CRP
- Check status of released jobs, including tooling and experimental
- Update charts on parts status and codes as applicable
Verify delivery status by calling or visiting vendors to ensure on time delivery schedules
- Develop priority list for vendor for delivery dates and milestone charts for customers with delayed delivery schedules
- Verify inventory levels and reschedule deliveries when necessary to maintain required inventory levels
- Review contracts for, performance and schedules
Establish MRP parameters including lot size, minimum quantity, safety stock and others
- Manage variety of internal reports
- Carries out day-to-day work following the departments continuous improvement plan
You should be proficient in:
- Forklift Licensed
- ERP & MRP Systems
