Here, you’ll practice alongside care teams that work seamlessly across Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Critical Care—creating smoother transitions, stronger accountability, and better outcomes for the communities we serve.\nIf you’re looking for a place where your clinical judgment is valued, your growth is supported, and your work truly makes a difference, we’d love to talk.\nLocal Team Collaboration:\n\n At Olympic Medical Center, our collaborative Emergency Medicine team is comprised of 9 physician FTEs and 6 Advanced Practice Providers.\n Level 3 trauma, 67-bed acute care hospital.\n 21-bed Emergency Department.\n Annual volume of 29,500.\n 10 ICU-licensed beds.\n We promote inclusivity by involving the team in decisions and encouraging everyone to contribute ideas that shape our program.\n Our strong teamwork culture thrives on consistent communication, and a supportive OMC staff is always ready to help.\n Our emergency department leads hospital-wide changes through a collaborative environment that values feedback and inclusion.\n Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.\n Stable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts.\n\nQualifications:\n\n Board-certified/Board-eligible Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) certification.\n IM/FM trained with Emergency Medicine experience will be considered.\n Additional certifications required: PALS, BLS, ACLS, ATLS.\n Authorized to work in the United States.\n\nScheduling:\n\n Flexible scheduling of 12-hour shifts.\n Full-time is 120 hours per month.Part-time and PRN options available.\n Our model consists of 36 hours per day of physician coverage and 24 hours per day of APP coverage.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n We actively collaborate with nurse leadership to collectively “own” the ED, consistently striving to improve patient care and ensuring we are attentive to those requiring our services. \n We actively contribute to various committees, including the pediatric committee, the vulnerable patients committee, the violent restraint workgroup, and the ED committee, and we are actively seeking to join additional committees.\n\nLiving and Working in Port Angeles:\n\n Port Angeles is where the beauty of the Pacific Northwest meets the spirit of adventure.
