Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box, challenging the status quo and striving to be best-in-class.As an Executive Director within the Special Credits Group, you will develop and implement risk mitigation and recovery strategies for a portfolio of stressed and distressed credit exposures across multiple regions and industries. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external parties to evaluate complex financial and legal situations, structure solutions, and manage outcomes. This role provides exposure to complex restructuring, litigation, and capital structure transactions.Job ResponsibilitiesLead credit decision-making process in live stressed / distressed situations while in leadership role amongst lender group/Administrative Agent capacityWork with deal teams on new originations for distressed borrowers and the restructuring of existing exposureReview complex legal, financial and jurisdictional issues with an objective of improving credit structuresCoordinate across multiple internal constituencies including Industry and Product Coverage, Credit Risk, Capital Markets, Legal, Compliance and Secondary Loan tradingWork with external constituents, including other lenders, company management, financial advisors, and outside counsel to implement optimal solutions for exposure positionsMonitor performance of distressed portfolio; prepare updates for senior management and regulatorsEvaluate exposure management opportunities through loan sale; Prepare valuations on securities/ other instruments received from previous restructurings and formulate trading and disposal strategiesProvide leadership on the wholesale regulatory, accounting and risk reporting agenda as well as other Special Credits-specific activities including crisis management and problem credit playbooksRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills8+ years of experience in role focused on corporate finance, credit and leveraged financeExperience in a workout / restructuring roleStrong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to lead lender groups and/or represent JPMorgan in negotiations with various stakeholdersAbility to make, defend, and communicate credit / structuring decisions, often based on limited informationHigh degree of motivation with a strong sense of accountability and ownership of tasks; Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding environment with good time managementAbility to be self-sufficient or work collaboratively as a team, as neededStrong attention to detail and project management skillsAbout UsJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
