Job Title Neuroscience Sales Specialist (Commission) Location Annapolis, Maryland and Columbia, Maryland, United States Job Function Pharmaceutical Sales Job Description We are searching for the best talent for a Neuroscience Sales Specialist to serve the Columbia, MD territory which includes Annapolis, MD. The Neuroscience team tackles the world’s toughest brain health challenges including multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, myasthenia gravis, epilepsy, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and autism. The Sales Specialist will develop superior product and disease‑state knowledge, engage in in‑depth clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals, create local strategic and tactical plans, manage budgets, and drive sales performance within an ethical and compliant manner. Responsibilities Drive sales performance and meet or exceed sales forecasts within assigned territory by calling on HCP offices and Mental Health Community Centers both in‑person and virtually while following compliance guidelines. Use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives and customize discussions and client interactions based on customers’ needs in a compliant and ethical manner. Maintain current understanding of local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers, sharing this information with relevant internal stakeholders. Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers/region and identify appropriate programs/resources for each customer, practice, and/or system. Work with the Regional Business Manager and key stakeholders to develop a local business plan that ensures achievement of all business objectives and capitalize on formulary approvals and other business opportunities. Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists to share best practices. Provide timely and accurate administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, synchronization, sample and expense reporting. Build a business plan based on depth and breadth of customer business needs, resources, and products. Complete all company and job‑related training as assigned within the required timelines. Requirements Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience in healthcare sales/account management, or B2B sales, or recently transitioned from Active‑Duty Military. 3+ years of sales experience in specialty pharmaceuticals preferred. Launch, antipsychotic, and/or bipolar sales experience highly preferred. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record required. Strong desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers; ideal candidate emulates patient‑centricity. Act with high integrity and always in accordance with the Company’s Compliance policies and procedures. Strong self‑motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial thirst, excellent decision‑making judgment, and cross‑functional collaboration skills. Proven track record of success in learning and adapting to an evolving environment such as Covid‑19. Ability to be agile and adapt to the changing telemedicine/virtual environment. Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress against objectives and diagnose performance issues. Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to a diverse customer audience. Work hours may include meetings scheduled outside of normal working hours. Benefits The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $79,000 - $155,000. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long‑term incentive program. Employees are eligible for the following benefits: Vacation – 120 hours per calendar year; Sick time – 40 hours per calendar year (additional hours for Colorado and Washington residents); Holiday pay – 13 days per calendar year; Work, Personal and Family Time – up to 40 hours per calendar year; Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year; Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member (40 hours for an extended family member); Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52‑week rolling period; Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year; Military Spouse Time‑Off – 80 hours per calendar year.
